Meghan is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a background in child studies and social work.
Before getting her Master’s in Counselling, she worked mainly with children with special needs and their families. Wanting to do more for these families and others, she completed her Master’s in Counselling.
Meghan strives for a strong positive relationship with all her clients and wants them to feel safe and
supported as they explore the challenges of life.
Meghan believes that psychology is not a one-size-fits-all approach. She takes a client-centred approach, utilizing different techniques depending on the person and situation. Methods she often draws from are Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Meghan works with a wide variety of client issues, as listed above. One of Meghan’s favourite populations are those with medical trauma and chronic health conditions. As someone who was unable to find anyone who could understand what she went through with her health, she loves being there for others facing similar situations.
She sees individuals 12+ and couples. Meghan views therapy as having someone to walk through life with you. She is there to support you through the hard times as well as cheer on the victories. One of the highest honours for her is being able to walk through life with people.
